I travel up to 30 minutes from my office in Moortown, Leeds. I work within the school, the home, community settings and my office.
If you are further than 30 minutes away then there is often a small travel charge of 45p per mile.

Yes, I work face-to-face, and I also offer online video calls for consultation appointments and for therapeutic work with teens.

As an Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychologist I have the widest training there is in child and adolescent psychology. The basic training process takes an average of 8 years. The final stage of training requires successful completion of a three year taught Doctorate to gain eligibility to apply for registration with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council). This, combined with over a decade of experience, results in a level of expertise which sets the fees at the price you see.

You know something is not going well for your preschooler, child, teen or student. They are struggling to concentrate, to progress academically, to comprehend what is asked of them, to communicate, to make friends, to approach problem solving, or to have confidence in their ability. Perhaps they are stuck, struggling with confidence, anxiety, acceptance, identity, stress management, controlling their behaviour, low mood, family problems or bullying. They may have developmental difference or delay. I work within all of these areas.

Identification of SEN (Special Educational Needs) sits within the remit of any work that I do - identification, consideration, intervention and recommendations. For example, I may identify that a child struggles significantly more than their same-aged peers within the areas of attention and concentration. It is then my job to work out what interventions (environmental, contextual, individual and otherwise) that will begin to address the difficulty and also accommodate for it. So, I have identified their individual SEN needs and worked with others involved to agree a plan of individualised and targeted intervention and support. This sits separately to diagnosis, which I do not offer

It is very common to feel this way as you are going to be talking about your child to someone that you have not met before. I will put you at your ease as much as is possible and give you maximum opportunity to describe and explore your concerns so that together we can explore how you can begin to turn things around, start to see the possible solutions and the next steps.
